Pre-Finished 5/32 Ambrosia Maple for laser cutters / Double sided, MDF core

Native to North America, Ambrosia Maple is a Soft Maple wood that has naturally occurring color streaks throughout.  These streaks can vary from grey to brown and are caused by a fungus deposited into the wood by the Ambrosia Beetle.  While the fungus infestation does not affect the integrity of the wood, it does make each piece unique in color.

Small pinholes can be found throughout the wood.  This is not a defect.  It is caused by the Ambrosia Beetle as it burrows into the wood.  They have been filled with wood filler (see second photo)

Pre-Finished Ambrosia Maple takes all the prep-work out of your next project.  This wood comes with a durable Semi-Gloss clear coat already applied on both sides, saving you time so you can focus on crafting and not material prep.  Not only that but you save even more time because there's no need to mask it!!!  Just use a baby wipe or soft lint-free cloth to wipe up any laser char residue, saving you time and money.

 Boards are cut 11 3/4" by 19" by hand. There may be very slight variations but they will be very close to the size listed. These boards fit perfectly within a Glowforge and cut/engrave perfectly.
