12 sheets of 20" × 30" black MDF sized for larger laser cutting, engraving, CNC, sign-making, and production projects.

This smooth MDF has a black finished surface on one side only, with raw MDF on the back. The surface requires minimal preparation and typically does not need sanding before use.

Material Notes

Boards are cut by hand, so minor size variations may occur. Actual dimensions will be very close to the listed 20" × 30" size.

Because thin MDF can develop some bow or warp, especially in larger sheet sizes, hold-down pins, magnets, or other work-holding methods may be helpful during laser cutting. We do our best to ship flat, usable sheets.

This MDF is listed by the manufacturer as NAF (No Added Formaldehyde) and ULEF rated.

Laser Settings

Glowforge users can use Proofgrade Medium Draftboard as a starting point. Settings may need to be adjusted based on your specific laser, tube power, optics, airflow, material batch, and machine condition.

For an Aeon Mira9 90W, our existing starting point is 25 mm/sec, 60/50 power, autofocus. Adjust as needed for your machine and conditions.
